3.2. Adding a New Page

  1. From your Dashboard, hover over the Pages tab in the left-hand navigation.

  2. Click Add New. Or, if you are already on the Pages view list, click on the Add New button at the top of the window.

  3. Enter all of the appropriate information, including categories, tags, and page parent.

Categories provide a way to group related pages together, and to quickly tell readers what a page is about. Categories also make it easier for people to find your content. Categories are similar to, but broader than, tags.

Tags are useful for grouping related pages together and to quickly tell readers what a post is about. Tags also make it easier for people to find your content. Tags are similar to, but more specific than, categories. [The use of tags is completely optional.]

Page Parent is an efficient method of organizing your page content into hierarchies. A parent page is a top level page, with child pages nested under it. For more information see https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-options/#parent-page. [NOTE: If the Parent Page module does not appear on the right side of the page, select Screen Options in the top right corner, de-select and re-select the tick box next to Page Parent.]

  4. Send a ticket to LibPress Support to ensure that the menu is updated to reflect the addition of your new page.
