3.1. Editing a Page

Most of the content on your website resides on Pages. Posts are only used for your blog (go here to add a Blog Post). To edit a page, you must be logged in, following which you can access the Edit screen for a particular page in one of two ways:

  1. Go to your website and travel to the page you wish to modify. Click Edit Page at the top of the screen, or;

  2. Go to your Dashboard (the screen that appears immediately following your login, which can also be accessed at any time from your website by clicking your library name at the top of the screen).

  3. Click the Pages button in the left-hand navigation.

  4. The resulting screen will look similar to this, listing all the pages on your website:

  5. To filter this list, you can either click on one of the links at the top of the screen:

    or use the Search box on the right side of the page:

  6. To edit a page, simply click its title. You can also hover over the title and then click Edit. The Edit Page screen will appear similar to the following:

  7. Notice in the screenshot that the title of the screen is Edit Page. If you were creating a new page, the title would be Add New Page, but everything else on the screen is essentially the same.

  8. The screen is broken down into modules, each with their own purpose. The three most important parts of the page screen are the Title of your page, the Editor (where you type your content), and the Publish module.

  9. The Publish module is very important because it's where pages are saved, published and previewed. The module will change depending on the status of your page. Most of the pages on your site are already set to Published and will not require any changes. Here is the default Publish module:
