Running Inventory with the Offline Module

If you are planning to take a laptop into your shelves and do not have Wi-Fi available you can use Evergreen’s Offline module to check items in for inventory.

  1. In Evergreen go to Circulation → Offline Circulation.
  2. Go to Checkin and check in the items in the area you are inventorying.
  3. Connect the computer to the internet and open the Evergreen Staff Client.
  4. Upload your check ins. See the section called “Upload and Process Offline Transactions”.
  5. Make sure you follow up on any exceptions that appear when the transactions are uploaded. See the section called “Handle Exceptions”. These items will need to be pulled from the shelf and checked in on the live staff client to resolve the exceptions.
