Most Sitka public libraries in BC and Manitoba participate in shared resource agreements currently known as BC InterLibrary Connect and Spruce. Participating libraries follow those agreements' hold and search policies and best practices, with technical input provided by Co-op Support. BC ILC and Spruce holds and search policy is the approved current policy, and eligible libraries are urged to participate.

All other Sitka libraries follow local or federation policies and best practice, with technical input from Co-op Support.
